POSC Licensing Agreement: All files distributed by POSC are subject to the POSC License Agreement.
POSC has developed a set of documents relating to guidelines and Best Practices in XML. These have been collected together into a set, and may be accessed at http://www.posc.org/ebiz/Guidelines/Index.html.
Version 2.0 is released. The attached Summary of Changes from 1.0 to 2.0 will summarize the changes that are present in the version 2.0 release of the modules. The simple summary is that a few backward compatible changes were made, one major module was added (directional survey ala UKOOA P7 V 5), and one change that is not backward compatible. The latest set of modules is in http://www.posc.org/schemas/ver20.
Version 1.0 of the set of modules remains available in http://www.posc.org/schemas/ver10 directory. Users of schemas in this directory will still be able to use the schemas for the indefinite future.

Changes were made in the Well Header module. A brief summary is given below. More detail is given in the updated documentation.

Changes were made to the country list.
A change was made in wellPurpose.xml. The value, 'exploratory' was deprecated and changed to 'exploration.'

| Business Associate | Modules that allow a reference dictionary of business associate (people and companies), and modules that allow a description of business associates. | Document Information | A convenience module, that gives basic information about a document, and can be used as a header for the document. (This module is useful for many purposes, but will probably be replaced by other comparable modules developed by the XML industry as a whole.) | Geodetics | This is a set of modules modified slightly from the GML schema developed by the CRS group at OpenGIS. The modifications are mainly style oriented, but also have some content variations.
