| POSC Specifications Version 2.2 | Examples of Epicentre Usage Geologic Information |
These examples are taken from a valuable publicly available dataset (Levey, R.A., Hardage, B.A., Edson, R., and Pendleton, V., 1994, 3-D Seismic and Well Log Data Set: Fluvial Reservoir Systems--Stratton Field, South Texas: Austin Texas, Bureau of Economic Geology Computer Products No. 3)
In this example, we take a close look at the Frio formation. The formation is composed of three members; Upper, Middle, and Lower Frio. The Middle Frio contains ten local markers as defined by the Stratton field case study of Levey et al (1994) shown in the diagram.
The each point is reported in three ways, by measured depth, from sea level elevations, and in two way travel time.
