The association of a cell type and area pattern for the purpose of describing the relative placement of a cell in an area pattern.

identifier (M, K: ndt_name)

The label used to identify an area cell.


cell (M, K: cell(area_cell))

Specifies a cell for participation in the definition of an area pattern fill. Each area_cell must reference one cell.


cell_height (M: ndt_length)

The length of a cell in the vertical dimension within a pattern fill.


cell_orientation_angle (M: ndt_plane_angle)

The angle by which a cell is rotated when displayed in a pattern fill. The angle is measured counter-clockwise from the horizontal.


cell_width (M: ndt_length)

The length of a cell in the horizontal dimension.


horizontal_spacing (M: ndt_length)

The distance separating cell origins along a row of cells.


vertical_spacing (M: ndt_length)

The distance by which a cell origin is displaced from adjacent cell origins in a column of cells.


horizontal_offset (O: ndt_length)

The distance in the horizontal direction separating the origin of the display coordinate system and the origin of one cell in the pattern. This distance could reference the nearest cell, but any cell is adequate.


vertical_offset (O: ndt_length)

The distance by which a pattern of cells is displaced in the vertical direction from the origin of the display coordinate system.


data_collection (I, V: SET[0:?] data_collection(collection_content))

Indicates the data collections that include this instance of E and P data. Each area_cell may be a member of one or more data_collection. Inherited from e_and_p_data.


datum_for_ranking (I, V: SET[0:?] object_ranking(base_object))

Indicates that an object is being used as a basis for comparison with another object. Each area_cell may datum for ranking one or more object_ranking. Inherited from object_of_interest.


graphical_element (I, V: SET[0:?] graphical_element(depicted_object))

Specifies one or more graphical elements which are depicting this data item. Each area_cell may be depicted by one or more graphical_element. Inherited from e_and_p_data.


object_of_ranking (I, V: SET[0:?] object_ranking(ranked_object))

Indicates that an object is being classified in a rank order based on its characteristics. Each area_cell may object of ranking one or more object_ranking. Inherited from object_of_interest.


pattern_fill (V: SET[1:?] area_pattern_fill(area_cell))

Specifies the area pattern fill in which cells are included as part of the pattern. Each area_cell must be a part of one or more area_pattern_fill.
