Epicentre Logical Data Model |
A curvilinear coordinate system based upon a geodetic datum. This coordinate system is defined by the axes of latitude, longitude and height. The latitude of a point is specified as an angle between the equatorial plane and a suitably chosen line thorough the point. The longitude of a point is specified as an angle between the local meridian of the point and the chosen reference meridian, measured in the equatorial plane. The height is the distance between a point and a vertical datum, such as the ellipsoidal surface associated with the geodetic datum.
- identifier (M, K, I: ndt_name)
- The identifier of the coordinate system. Inherited from coordinate_system.
- geodetic_datum (M: geodetic_datum(geographic_coordinate_system))
- This is the geodetic datum that this geographic coordinate system is based upon. This defines the surface upon which the coordinate values in this coordinate system are expressed. Each geographic_coordinate_system must be based upon one geodetic_datum.
- prime_meridian (M: prime_meridian(geographic_coordinate_system))
- This is the prime meridian for the geographic coordinate system. Each geographic_coordinate_system must be based upon one prime_meridian.
- ref_coordinate_system_constraint (M, I: ref_coordinate_system_constraint)
- The type of the coordinate system. This type specifies the number, order and kinds of axes that must be defined for this coordinate system. For example, a coordinate system of geographical 2D must have two axes of latitude and longitude in order. Inherited from coordinate_system.
- source (M, I: ref_source)
- The provider of this instance of reference information. If this instance is provided by POSC, then this attribute must be "POSC". Each geographic_coordinate_system must provided by one ref_source. Inherited from reference_behavior.
- description (O, I: ndt_comment)
- A remark concerning the coordinate system. Inherited from coordinate_system.
- status (O, I: ndt_instance_status) (0644)
- The status of this instance in the version of Epicentre running in a data store. This is an enumerated datatype for which the following are the possible values: current, provisional, deprecated. Current - use without restriction. Provisional - use with caution, this value is for comment and may not appear in future releases of Epicentre. Deprecated - avoid use if possible, it is planned to remove this value in the next major release of Epicentre. Inherited from reference_behavior.
- coordinate_system_alias (I, V: SET[0:?] coordinate_system_alias(coordinate_system))
- Indicates the various identifiers by which this coordinate system is known. Each geographic_coordinate_system may be known as one or more coordinate_system_alias. Inherited from coordinate_system.
- coordinate_system_axis (O, I: LIST OF UNIQUE[1:?] coordinate_system_axis(coordinate_system))
- This is the list of coordinate system axes that make up this coordinate system. The order of the axes is significant and is defined by the list structure of this relationship. An axis may not be used more than once in a coordinate system. Each geographic_coordinate_system may be defined by one or more coordinate_system_axis. Inherited from coordinate_system.
- data_collection (I, V: SET[0:?] data_collection(collection_content))
- Indicates the data collections that include this instance of E and P data. Each geographic_coordinate_system may be a member of one or more data_collection. Inherited from e_and_p_data.
- datum_for_ranking (I, V: SET[0:?] object_ranking(base_object))
- Indicates that an object is being used as a basis for comparison with another object. Each geographic_coordinate_system may datum for ranking one or more object_ranking. Inherited from object_of_interest.
- earth_surface_feature (O, I: SET[0:?] earth_surface_feature(coordinate_system))
- These are the areas of the surface of the Earth that are defined as appropriate to use this coordinate system. Each geographic_coordinate_system may be defined for use within one or more earth_surface_feature. Inherited from coordinate_system.
- graphical_element (I, V: SET[0:?] graphical_element(depicted_object))
- Specifies one or more graphical elements which are depicting this data item. Each geographic_coordinate_system may be depicted by one or more graphical_element. Inherited from e_and_p_data.
- object_of_ranking (I, V: SET[0:?] object_ranking(ranked_object))
- Indicates that an object is being classified in a rank order based on its characteristics. Each geographic_coordinate_system may object of ranking one or more object_ranking. Inherited from object_of_interest.
- ref_axis_orientation (O, I: ref_axis_orientation)
- The orientation of the axis with respect to previously defined axes in the coordinate system. Each coordinate system may be either "right-handed" or "left-handed". Inherited from coordinate_system.
- ref_naming_system (O, I: ref_naming_system)
- The naming system in which identifier type and structure is defined. Inherited from coordinate_system.
- source_for (I, V: SET[0:?] applied_coordinate_transformation(source_coordinate_system))
- This describes the set of coordinate transformations that utilize this coordinate system as a source. Each geographic_coordinate_system may be the basis of one or more applied_coordinate_transformation. Inherited from coordinate_system.
- source_reference (O, I: ref_source_reference)
- The reference used by source to provide the standard instance, such as Petroleum Industry Data Dictionary (PIDD), Websters Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary, etc. Each geographic_coordinate_system may documented by one ref_source_reference. Inherited from reference_behavior.
