Epicentre Logical Data Model |
A classification of material based on specification of a range of characteristics. For example, the classification of rocks into lithologic classes is based on ranges of mineral composition and grain size. Other examples of material class is to classify a fluid system as a crude oil, natural gas or formation water.
- name (M, K, I: ndt_long_name) (1170)
- The name given to the class. Inherited from classification_class.
- classification_system (O, K, I: classification_system(classification_class))
- The classification system with which this class is identified. Each material_class may be a member of one classification_system. Inherited from classification_class.
- source (M, I: ref_source)
- The provider of this instance of reference information. If this instance is provided by POSC, then this attribute must be "POSC". Each material_class must provided by one ref_source. Inherited from reference_behavior.
- description (O, I: ndt_comment)
- The description of this class, describing the criteria for exclusion and inclusion. Inherited from classification_class.
- end_date (O, I: ndt_date)
- The expiration of the class, after which the class is invalid. Inherited from classification_class.
- start_date (O, I: ndt_date)
- The date from which this class is valid. Inherited from classification_class.
- status (O, I: ndt_instance_status) (0644)
- The status of this instance in the version of Epicentre running in a data store. This is an enumerated datatype for which the following are the possible values: current, provisional, deprecated. Current - use without restriction. Provisional - use with caution, this value is for comment and may not appear in future releases of Epicentre. Deprecated - avoid use if possible, it is planned to remove this value in the next major release of Epicentre. Inherited from reference_behavior.
- be_a_member_of (V: SET[0:?] material_class_classification(have_as_a_member)) (0768)
- Indicates the use of this class as a member of a general class. For example, the material_class "chocolate" is a general class to which the more specific class "milk chocolate" can be assigned. In this case, this attribute points to "chocolate", the parent or more general class. Each material_class may be a member of one or more material_class_classification.
- classify (V: SET[0:?] material_class_classification(be_classified_as)) (0768)
- Indicates the application of a classification of this class, such as the grouping of a set of particular classes to a general class. For example, the material_class "chocolate" is a general class to which the more specific class "milk chocolate" can be assigned. In this case, this attribute points to "milk chocolate", the child or more general class, via the association material_class_classification. Each material_class may classify one or more material_class_classification.
- data_collection (I, V: SET[0:?] data_collection(collection_content))
- Indicates the data collections that include this instance of E and P data. Each material_class may be a member of one or more data_collection. Inherited from e_and_p_data.
- datum_for_ranking (I, V: SET[0:?] object_ranking(base_object))
- Indicates that an object is being used as a basis for comparison with another object. Each material_class may datum for ranking one or more object_ranking. Inherited from object_of_interest.
- graphical_element (I, V: SET[0:?] graphical_element(depicted_object))
- Specifies one or more graphical elements which are depicting this data item. Each material_class may be depicted by one or more graphical_element. Inherited from e_and_p_data.
- guideline_or_privilege (I, V: SET[0:?] guideline_or_privilege(subject_of_guideline_or_privilege))
- These are the guidelines, limitations, regulations and privileges that are defined with respect to this class or typical. This relationship defines the guidelines, etc., that apply to the objects or activities to which this instance is assigned. Each material_class may be the subject of one or more guideline_or_privilege. Inherited from subject_of_guideline_or_privilege.
- higher_ranking_class (O: SET[0:?] material_class(lower_ranking_class))
- Indicates various material classes which are ranked higher in value with respect to the property domain of the rank. Each material_class may greater rank one or more material_class.
- lower_ranking_class (V: SET[0:?] material_class(higher_ranking_class))
- Indicates various material classes which are ranked lower in value with respect to the property domain of rank. Each material_class may lesser rank one or more material_class.
- material_classification (V: SET[0:?] material_classification(material_class))
- Indicates an application of the material class to a material. Each material_class may classify one or more material_classification.
- material_class_alias (V: SET[0:?] material_class_alias(material_class)) (1132)
- This contains aliases for this instances of material class. Each material_class may have as aliases one or more material_class_alias.
- object_of_ranking (I, V: SET[0:?] object_ranking(ranked_object))
- Indicates that an object is being classified in a rank order based on its characteristics. Each material_class may object of ranking one or more object_ranking. Inherited from object_of_interest.
