Epicentre Logical Data Model |
Estimated volumes of crude oil, condensate, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and associated substances anticipated to be commercially recoverable from known accumulations from a given date forward, under existing economic conditions, by established operating practices, and under current government regulations. Reserves estimates are based on interpretations of geologic and/or engineering data available at the time of the estimate. Reserves do not include volumes of crude oil, condensate, natural gas, or natural gas liquids being held in inventory. If required for financial reporting or other special purposes, reserves may be reduced for on-site usage and/or processing losses.
- product_flow_network_unit (M, K: product_flow_network_unit(reserves))
- Indicates the facility for which reserves are estimated. Each reserves must be attributed to one product_flow_network_unit.
- fluid_component (M, K: fluid_component) (1169)
- This specifies the fluid component being quantified by this description of reserves. This is where the crude oil or natural gas is identified as the material being described. Each reserves must be defined for one fluid_component.
- reserves_category (M, K: reserves_class) (1225)
- This is the definitive classsification of reserves that defines its fundamental meaning. This always points to a reserves_class defined by within a formal heirarchy, usually be a governmental agency or standards organization. Additional reserves_classifications are intended to provide additional characterizations without changing this fundamental meaning. Each reserves must be defined by one reserves_class.
- description (O: ndt_comment)
- A remark about the reserves estimate.
- effective_date (O: ndt_date)
- The date at which the reserves definition becomes effective.
- expiry_date (O: ndt_date)
- The date at which the reserves definition expires.
- amendment (V: SET[0:?] reserves_category_change(original_reserves)) (1225)
- The set of amendments made to a reserves instance. These amendments record that the classification of the reserve changed. For example, the behind pipe reserves for the ABBEY field have been changed to producing reserves. Each reserves may be amended with one or more reserves_category_change.
- approved_by (O: business_associate(reserves_approved)) (1225)
- The business associate charged with approving the classification of reserves and the validation of reserves estimate values. Each reserves may be approved by one business_associate.
- data_collection (I, V: SET[0:?] data_collection(collection_content))
- Indicates the data collections that include this instance of E and P data. Each reserves may be a member of one or more data_collection. Inherited from e_and_p_data.
- datum_for_ranking (I, V: SET[0:?] object_ranking(base_object))
- Indicates that an object is being used as a basis for comparison with another object. Each reserves may datum for ranking one or more object_ranking. Inherited from object_of_interest.
- derived_from (V: BAG[0:1] reserves_category_change(result_reserves)) (1225)
- This designates the reserve change that created this instance of reserves. For example, the producing proved reserves of the ABBEY field were derived from the behind pipe proved reserves. Each reserves may be derived from one reserves_category_change.
- derived_interest (I, V: SET[0:?] derived_interest_makeup(interest_for))
- These are the ownership fractions for business associates of this business object. Each reserves may be owned according to one or more derived_interest_makeup. Inherited from business_object.
- graphical_element (I, V: SET[0:?] graphical_element(depicted_object))
- Specifies one or more graphical elements which are depicting this data item. Each reserves may be depicted by one or more graphical_element. Inherited from e_and_p_data.
- guideline_or_privilege (I, V: SET[0:?] guideline_or_privilege(business_object))
- These are the guidelines, limitations, regulations or privileges that are specifically defined for this business object. Other general guidelines, etc., that apply to this business object are defined via the typical and class relationships (if any) defined for this business object. Each reserves may be the subject of one or more guideline_or_privilege. Inherited from business_object.
- guideline_or_privilege_compliance (I, V: SET[0:?] guideline_or_privilege_compliance(business_object))
- These are the designations of compliance with guidelines, limitations, regulations and privileges that are made for this business object. Each compliance statement describes the state of compliance for a specified guideline, limitation, regulation or privilege for a period of time. Each reserves may be the subject of one or more guideline_or_privilege_compliance. Inherited from business_object.
- object_of_ranking (I, V: SET[0:?] object_ranking(ranked_object))
- Indicates that an object is being classified in a rank order based on its characteristics. Each reserves may object of ranking one or more object_ranking. Inherited from object_of_interest.
- pty_standard_volume_gas (V: SET[0:?] pty_standard_volume_gas(reserves))
- Each reserves may have a property of one or more pty_standard_volume_gas.
- pty_standard_volume_liquid (V: SET[0:?] pty_standard_volume_liquid(reserves))
- Each reserves may have a property of one or more pty_standard_volume_liquid.
- ref_recovery_process (O: ref_recovery_process)
- The classification of the recovery process that was assumed for the estimation of the reserves, such as: natural reservoir energy, pressure maintenance, cycling, waterflooding, thermal methods, chemical flooding, and miscible or immiscible displacement.
- reserves_classification (V: SET[0:?] reserves_classification(reserves)) (1225)
- These are the classifications that describe this instance of reserves. These should not conflict with or duplicate the reserves_class selected as the reserves category. Each reserves may be classified by one or more reserves_classification.
- reserves_sale_commitment (V: SET[0:?] reserves_sale_commitment(reserves))
- Indicates various sales agreements to which this fluid volume is committed. Each reserves may be dedicated to one or more reserves_sale_commitment.
- satisfy_obligation (I, V: SET[0:?] contractual_obligation(contractual_obligation_object))
- These are the contractual obligations that this business object is designated as fulfilling, either completely or partially. Each reserves may satisfy one or more contractual_obligation. Inherited from business_object.

For example, this may be the contract designations that define the specific interest ownership fractions of the business object as it is bought and sold. Each reserves may be subject to one or more contract_designation. Inherited from business_object.
