Epicentre Logical Data Model |
A unique, oriented hole from the intended bottom of a drilled interval to the surface of the Earth. If more than one path exists from a wellbore bottom point to a surface point, then more than one wellbore exists. The wellbore provides a conduit for operations within a well.

- Identifier used to identify a wellbore within a well. This is often a sequence number or character, such as 1, 2, A, B, C, etc.
- ref_existence_kind (M, K, I: ref_existence_kind)
- The existence kind for the facility e.g. actual, planned, required or predicted. Inherited from facility.
- well (M, K: well(wellbore))
- Specifies the well in which this wellbore is a part. Each wellbore must be a part of one well.
- abandonment_date (O: ndt_date_tod) (0840)
- This is the date and time of day that the wellbore was permanently removed from service.
- completion_date (O: ndt_date_tod) (0840)
- This is the date that the activities that created the wellbore were completed and the wellbore was available for service.

- Defines the activities which have made use of or plan to use this facility. Each wellbore may utilized by one or more activity. Inherited from facility.

- Indicates that an object is being used as a basis for comparison with another object. Each wellbore may datum for ranking one or more object_ranking. Inherited from object_of_interest.
- derived_interest (I, V: SET[0:?] derived_interest_makeup(interest_for))
- These are the ownership fractions for business associates of this business object. Each wellbore may be owned according to one or more derived_interest_makeup. Inherited from business_object.

- Indicates various earth models which include this spatial representation. Each wellbore may be part of one or more earth_model. Inherited from spatial_object.

For all other object intersection types the roles are symmetrical and both relationships must be searched for a particular object. For example, if a wellbore and a formation overlap then either could be chosen as the primary agent with the other chosen as the secondary agent.
