A set of alternative units of measure that may be used to qualify a quantity type instance and a range limit on the values the quantity instance may take. The range limit units must be a member of the set of alternative units specified for the quantity type.

name (M, K: ndt_name)

A unique name for the quantity type.


alternative_unit_of_measure (M: SET[1:?] ref_unit_of_measure)

This defines the set of alternative units of measure which can be used for this type of quantity. Each ref_quantity_type must have as alternatives one or more ref_unit_of_measure.


source (M, I: ref_source)

The provider of this instance of reference information. If this instance is provided by POSC, then this attribute must be "POSC". Each ref_quantity_type must provided by one ref_source. Inherited from reference_behavior.


range_lower (O: ndt_real4)

The lower limit for all instances of this quantity type. The units of the lower limit are given by range unit of measure.


range_upper (O: ndt_real4)

The upper limit for all instances of this quantity type. The value is specified in the range limit units.


status (O, I: ndt_instance_status) (0644)

The status of this instance in the version of Epicentre running in a data store. This is an enumerated datatype for which the following are the possible values: current, provisional, deprecated. Current - use without restriction. Provisional - use with caution, this value is for comment and may not appear in future releases of Epicentre. Deprecated - avoid use if possible, it is planned to remove this value in the next major release of Epicentre. Inherited from reference_behavior.


code_alias (I, V: SET[0:?] ref_code_alias(standard_code))

Defines a list of alternative names associated with this instance. These may be aliases, translations, codes, etc. Each ref_quantity_type may have one or more ref_code_alias. Inherited from ref_code.


range_unit_of_measure (O: ref_unit_of_measure)

This defines the units of measure of the range lower and range upper values. Each ref_quantity_type may have for range limit one ref_unit_of_measure.


source_reference (O, I: ref_source_reference)

The reference used by source to provide the standard instance, such as Petroleum Industry Data Dictionary (PIDD), Websters Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary, etc. Each ref_quantity_type may documented by one ref_source_reference. Inherited from reference_behavior.


version (O, I: ref_epicentre_version) (0644)

Describes the version of Epicentre when this status was assigned to this instance of reference behavior Each ref_quantity_type may version one ref_epicentre_version. Inherited from reference_behavior.
