Jonathan Lewis

Jonathan Lewis is Vice President with responsibility for Halliburton’s business with ExxonMobil.  Dr. Lewis joined Halliburton's Landmark Graphics in early 1996 as vice president of the Geology and Reservoir Engineering product line. He has held various senior management positions, covering technology development, marketing, corporate strategy, business development and sales operations. Most recently, he was vice president of Innovation and Marketing for the Landmark business, with accountability for research and development, intellectual property, marketing and strategy.  Prior to that, he ran Landmark's Eastern Hemisphere business.

Before joining Landmark, Dr. Lewis taught graduate students and managed commercially funded research groups through academic positions at Imperial College in London, England, and Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He also consulted, led training initiatives and undertook technical audits for oil companies in the Americas, Europe and the Far East.

Dr. Lewis earned a bachelor of science degree in geology from Kingston Polytechnic in 1984 and received a doctorate in reservoir description from the University of Reading in 1987. He has published and given keynote presentations on various E&P topics and, in 1996, was made a Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Distinguished Lecturer. Dr. Lewis also chairs the board of the Petrotechnical Open Standards Consortium and is a board member of OSF Portal. He is a member of SPE and serves on the Strategic Advisory Board of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering, Heriot-Watt University.
