eRegulatory Collaboration Meeting (New Orleans)

January 20, 2003

at the GWPC Meeting
Hotel Montelone
214 Rue Royale
New Orleans, LA 70130
USA

There has been growing momentum among regulatory agencies to collaborate in the development and use of business processes and interchange specifications. It was agreed during a telephone conference on December 11, 2002 for interested parties to meet in person at the site of the Ground Water Protection Council states' meeting in New Orleans in January for the purpose of formulating an eRegulatory Collaboration plan.

The organizations currently participating in this effort are GWPC, US BLM, US MMS, UK DTI, API/PIDX/REGS, and POSC. An outline of a plan to facilitate cooperative work in this area through a newly formed POSC eRegulatory SIG and the current PIDX/REGS group has been suggested.

The goal of this meeting is to refine a strawman road map covering global coordination of regulatory process and interchange development and deployment. The strawman roadmap will be drawn up based on the results of a short survey.

The survey has been distributed through the December 11 participants to the organizations listed above. Other interested parties are invited to complete the survey and send it by e-mail to Alan Doniger at POSC. To be considered as input for the strawman roadmap, survey results must be received by end of business on January 16, 2003.
