Conference Objectives

This conference was intended for professionals from oil companies, data and software vendors, service companies and government.

Specifically, managers or technical developers working on E&P related electronic commerce initiatives, those seeking to understand the state of XML usage in E&P, and everyone interested in opportunities for collaborative development of XML solutions (specifications + products) were invited to attend.

Goals for conference attendees were:

  1. to understand motivation for building XML solutions
  2. to identify potential for collaborative-based XML solutions in E&P
  3. to learn about major collaborative projects (potential, planned, active, or completed)
  4. to understand how to participate in collaborative efforts
