 POSC held two informal regional POSC Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings in Houston on the morning of March 22, DSS (Data Management) SIG and the morning of March 23, Integrated Operations (Production) SIG. These meetings were designed to be valuable to those who are active participants in one or more  of the SIGs, as well as for those who would like to learn more about work of the SIGs and the associated industry standards.

The DSS (Data Management) SIG meeting highlighted:

  • Standards Catalogue and Reference Data Catalogue - orientation and demonstration focused on high-value reference standards
  • Geodetic / CRS Integration in WITSML - status and technical update
  • Well Path Integration in WITSML - status and technical update
     
  • Well Identity Service (Global Unique Well Identifier) Initiative - status and plans
  • Lithology Reference Standards V2 - technical walkthrough
