 POSC's WITSML Special Interest Groups held working meetings during the two days prior to the WITSML Public Seminar on October 19.  These  meetings were open to active WITSML SIG members and invited guests only.

Parallel and joint meetings were held by the WITSML Implementation Support Team, Technical Teams and Use Case and Requirements Team. 

  • The Implementation Support Team addressed experiences using WITSML enabled products.
  • The Technical Teams addressed feedback from experiences using the current version of WITSML V1.3.1. 
  • The Use Case and Requirements Team addressed pending areas of expansion including Drilling Reports, Completions and Interventions.

More information on the WITSML initiative/specifications can be found on the WITSML Web site or by contacting Alan Doniger at POSC.  All organizations with an interest in the WITSML standard are invited to join the WITSML SIG to support the standard and to determine its future direction.
