Notice to POSC Members

It is time for member companies to elect new POSC Board members. On September 18, POSC sent a communication to the POSC Business Contacts in each member company. It is the Business Contact’s responsibility to complete the ballot and return it to POSC.

As you can see, we have an impressive slate of candidates from which to choose. Please get in touch with your Business Contact if you wish to provide input to the voting process. Please contact POSC to determine who the Business Contact is for your company.

Instructions for Business Contacts

We first want to thank all of you for identifying and nominating high quality individuals for our upcoming election. Now we move to the voting phase of the process and your role as Business Contact is to cast the vote for your company. We are making available at this Web site a Proxy Ballot and supporting materials intended to help your decision making in this regard.

Please take note of the important information linked from this page. There are a number of issues related to the management and operation of the Petrotechnical Open Software Corporation that require your immediate attention and approval. These are discussed in detail in the proxy materials which include:

These documents were amended to reflect recent changes in governance from a sponsor organization to a member organization and to broaden the scope of activities to include provision of services related to our other activities.

Your vote counts, and you are strongly encouraged to exercise your right to vote.

Please print the proxy ballot and mark the boxes indicating how you wish to vote. Remember to sign the proxy ballot and mail it to POSC at 10777 Westheimer, Suite 275, Houston, Texas 77042.

Your vote must be received in the POSC offices prior to the Annual Meeting of Members, October 20, 1998.
