The focus of
this Seminar was on 'right time' seamless flow of well site data between
operators and service companies to speed and enhance decision-making.
People interested in this key business process of drilling data acquisition
and transfer were invited to attend.
The WITSML standard supports data exchange from the rig site to the office environment. Take-up of WITSML is strong. There were presentations from oil company operators, software suppliers, and service companies addressing their experiences with WITSML deployment and plans for future WITSML use. Software suppliers exhibited WITSML solutions. A reception, sponsored by Schlumberger, was held on the evening of Thursday Sept 18 at the Front Porch Pub, 217 Gray Street, near downtown Houston.
