The WITSML
SIG Technical Work Teams met to consider feedback from the use
of WITSML and discuss current technical issues. This session was chaired by John Shields of Baker Hughes.
The Use Case Requirements Work Team met in the afternoon, to consider pending proposals for expansion of WITSML deployment and extensions to the WITSML specifications. This session was chaired by Matthew Kirkman of BP. Attendance at these meetings was for employees of organizations who are now members, or are in the process of becoming members, of the WITSML SIG. More information on the WITSML initiative/specifications can be found on the WITSML Web site or by contacting Alan Doniger at POSC. All organizations with an interest in the WITSML standard are invited to join the WITSML SIG to support the standard and to determine its future direction. A reception, sponsored by Schlumberger, was be held on the evening of September 18 at The Front Porch Pub at 217 Gray Street, near downtown Houston. Attendees for both the SIG Work Teams Meeting and the WITSML Seminar on Sept. 19 were invited. |
