A single text line giving a legal and/or cadastral
location. No attempt is made to parse the description into its parts.
A US cadastral location description, in which the
parts of the description are parsed into separate elements.
The township. One, two, or three digit
integer, followed by N or S.
The range. One, two, or three digit integer,
followed by E or W.
The section. An integer from 1 to 36.
A string giving the quarter section description.
This is meant to include also the quarter quarter section, and quarter
quarter quarter section descriptions.
The lot number of a legal description.
This is often used in place of a section number.
The principal meridian from which range
values may be established. For example, the Michigan meridian,
the Indian meridian.
An explanation or description associated with
the aliquot portion of a lease as shown in the Serial Register
Page Report.
The distance from the section lines. There are in
general two of these values - one distancefrom the east or west
boundary, the other is the distance from the north or south boundary.
These are qualified by two parameters. One specifies which line is
the base line using oneof FNL, FSL, FEL, FWL. The other specifies if
the distance is measured parallel to a line, or perpendicular to the
base line (necessary if the boundary lines do not meet in right
angles. There is also a unit of measure, uom, attribute.
Any general comment that can further help identify
a location in the US legal system.
The location from the boundary lines of a section,
in the cadastral or legal description. There are three
attributes: uom, required; from, required; and direction, optional.
The from is one of FNL, FSL, FEL, FWL, which means "from (north, south, east, west) line"
respectively. The direction is one of 'parallel to side' or 'perpendicular to base'.
