is presented in bold.
- Time Length. How long should values be open for comment before we issue them as
standard values? Proposal is 2 months.
- Issue Dates. Previous releases of standard values has been in concert with the
issue of data model releases. The proposal is to divorce these two and to release the
standard values as appropriate. Is this reasonable for your company? What release
procedures should be used?
- Ref or Classes. Many standard values are captured in ref_xxx entities. They
may also be included in classes. For example, ref_wellbore_trajectory_shape can also have
its values in facility_class. Should we put the values in both places? What procedure
should be used to change from ref_xxx to xxx_class? Note that xxx_class allows a "parent -
child" relationship that is not always available in ref_xxx.
- Inherit classification. A well may inherit a status from a wellbore, which may
in turn inherit a status from a completion. For example, if a completion is active,
the wellbore it is in has an active status, and the well is also active. The present
set of values has an active status defined for all of these cases. It is possible to
only give the status of a completion, and to derive the status of a wellbore and a
well. Which is appropriate? Should we recommend that all these facilities be classified
as active, or just the one from which the others could be derived? Note that this is
a usage recommendation, not a data model rule.
